Hello, I am Ashlan.

Allow me to introduce myself- I am the creator behind the lens of New Leaf Photography. I am a new business owner, and when I say new, I mean NEW. I decided to start this business on one simple spark. One hope. One I had been clinging onto since my sophomore year in high school. This year, 2022, I decided to ignite it. My passion for photography is undeniable. But what I had really uncovered recently is my unquestionable connection and intrigue to beauty in all things. All things fun, adventurous, loving. The best part? I get to capture it all from my own eye's perspective. I have the honor of handing you your physical memories, one print or digital image at a time. That, to me, is the heart if what I do best.

And who am I (fighting the urge to reference Gossip Girl, one of my favorite tv shows)? I graduated Jamestown Community College with a degree in Media Arts, and have had the pleasure of winning awards and both art shows during the two years I attended. One award was best overall portfolio, and the other was best in black and white photography. I feel most connected to myself in a darkroom developing my own film and prints. I have three cats, who I love more than anything. I love crafting and working to transform something with my hands. I find it extremely fulfilling. I love watching Law and Order in my spare time. I love coffee. I love quoting movies. I often hope someone around me can pick up the reference, but if they don't, I'm content saying it for my own entertainment.
